Support Settings Settings for Online Account Security

When you want to change your Comcast account password, you will encounter some of our security settings. Find out what to do and why we have them.

The Security Code

The security code image or phrase is a series of numbers and case-sensitive letters that you have to enter when you reset your password. It’s designed to make sure only people, not computers, can use the password reset pages.

If you can’t read the image, simply refresh the page to make a new one appear.

The Secret Question

The secret question also helps protect your Comcast account.

When you set up your Comcast account, you’ll be asked to choose a secret question and provide the answer. If you forget or want to change your password, you'll have to answer the secret question. This helps us confirm your identity before allowing you to change your password.
