Plus, you can now watch thousands of XFINITY On Demand TV shows and movies – anywhere, anytime using the TV Go filter.

I already have X1. How do I sign up for live TV streaming and/or XFINITY On Demand streaming for X1?
Live TV and XFINITY On Demand streaming are both currently available for existing X1 customers in limited markets. If you have been notified that one of these features is available in your area, please contact us. Once you have access to live TV and/or XFINITY On Demand streaming, simply download the XFINITY TV app or go to the new XFINITY TV website (xtv.comcast.net) while in your home.

Where are live TV and XFINITY On Demand streaming available now?
Live TV and XFINITY On Demand streaming are only available in select Comcast areas and require the X1 DVR with Cloud Technology service or live TV streaming service. We are continually expanding this service, however, if you receive the Coverage is Still Limited error message when attempting to use this feature on the XFINITY TV website (xtv.comcast.net) or the XFINITY TV app, this means the service is not yet available in your market.

Does live TV streaming with the XFINITY TV app/XFINITY TV website (xtv.comcast.net) include all channels?
This feature includes all linear channels on your lineup except for Pay Per View, Music Choice or Adult channels.

Does XFINITY On Demand streaming with the XFINITY TV app/XFINITY TV website (xtv.comcast.net) include all titles?
This feature includes only those XFINITY On Demand TV shows and movies that are free or part of your subscription. You will also have access to XFINITY TV Go content for out of the home streaming

Will I be able to rent or purchase movies and TV shows via the XFINITY TV app or XFINITY TV website (xtv.comcast.net)?
At this time, you cannot rent or purchase movies or TV shows from your mobile devices or computers. You must rent or purchase content from your X1 set-top box; but any rented movie or TV show will become available for playback via the XFINITY TV app and XFINITY TV website (xtv.comcast.net). This is available in the Recent section of Saved and in the Last Watched section on your mobile devices.

How do I access the X1 live TV and/or XFINITY On Demand streaming features, and what devices are supported?
New and existing X1 customers can access both live TV and XFINITY On Demand streaming in their homes on mobile devices with the XFINITY TV app or on supported personal computers through the XFINITY TV website (xtv.comcast.net). The XFINITY TV app is currently available for iOS devices running 8.0 or later and Android devices running 4.0 or later.

Will live TV and/or XFINITY On Demand streaming on the XFINITY TV app or XFINITY TV website (xtv.comcast.net) count against my XFINITY Internet data usage threshold?
No. Live TV and select XFINITY On Demand streaming does not count against your Internet data usage threshold. Streaming XFINITY TV Go On Demand content, however, will count against your Internet data usage.

I can’t access live TV and/or XFINITY On Demand streaming when I’m traveling, is there a problem?
This ability to live stream any channel or stream certain XFINITY On Demand programming via the XFINITY TV app or the XFINITY TV website (xtv.comcast.net) is only available while connected to your in-home XFINITY network. However, you can still enjoy certain XFINITY On Demand programming by selecting the TV Go filter on the TV Shows or Movies tabs.

Why can I only access certain live TV channels outside my home?
Because live TV channels delivered outside the home are delivered over the Internet, we can only provide those channels for which we have Internet rights. In contrast, live TV streaming with X1 is not delivered over the Internet, is available only in your home, and is an extension of your XFINITY TV service.

If you are outside your home and not connected to your in-home XFINITY network, you should be using the XFINITY TV Go app, which is delivered over the Internet.

Why can I only access certain XFINITY On Demand programming outside my home?
Because select XFINITY On Demand programming is delivered over the Internet, we can only provide those programs for which we have steaming rights. In contrast, certain XFINITY On Demand programs with X1 are not delivered over the Internet and available only in your home. These programs are an extension of your XFINITY TV service.

If you are outside of your home and not connected to your in-home XFINITY network, use the TV Go filter on the TV Shows or Movies tabs to see which programs can be delivered over the Internet.

Note: If the Watch button for a program is grayed out, that means it can only be viewed while connected to your in-home XFINITY Network.

How many devices can stream live TV and/or XFINITY On Demand content on X1 simultaneously?
You can have up to five devices streaming simultaneously.

What devices are supported?
The product is currently available for viewing on PC, Macs, iOS devices and Android devices.

The XFINITY TV app requires the following system requirements:

  • iOS:
    • Requires iOS 8.0 or later
    • Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
    • Optimized for iPhone 6 and 6+
  • Android:
    • Available on all devices running 4.0 or higher (Note: Users must have Android 4.0 or higher in order to find and download the XFINITY TV app in the Google Play store)
    • Not available on Kindle Fire
