Introduction

You can use the XFINITY Home TouchScreen, XFINITY Home Mobile app, Wireless Keypad, Subscriber Portal or your Keychain Remote to arm and disarm your security system. Get step-by-step instructions in this article.

Note: This FAQ is for all XFINITY Home customers. However, if you live in the Houston, Texas, area and you purchased XFINITY Home prior to November 16, 2011, please see XFINITY Home for customers in the Houston, Texas, area installed before November 16, 2011.

If you do not have a TouchScreen, see the Help & Support documentation for XFINITY Home - Control.

We are redesigning our XFINITY Home Subscriber Portal for XFINITY Home - Secure customers. As of June 3, 2015, there will be the option to preview the new XFINITY Home Subscriber Portal. Please see the instructions below and select the view that you are using, either the Current version or the Preview version. All XFINITY Home - Control customers will continue to use the Current version.

Arm and Disarm from the TouchScreen

XFINITY Home TouchScreen displays security status at top. The Security button is in the top-left corner (the first button in the list).

Arm Away

  1. The security status of your security system is displayed in the Security Status header. Touch the Security Status header when it is in Disarmed state or select the Security icon.
  2. Select Arm Away mode and enter your master code.
  3. Exit the premises; you have until the Exit Delay is over to do so.

Note:
  • If you open and shut an Entry/Exit door during the Exit Delay and then re-enter the premises, the Exit Delay restarts at 120 seconds. It will only do this one time.
  • If an Entry/Exit door is left open at the end of Exit Delay, the Entry Delay immediately starts and, if the system is not disarmed, an alarm will sound.

Arm Stay
  1. The security status of your security system is displayed in the Security Status header. Touch the Security Status header when it is in Disarmed state or select the Security icon.
  2. Select Arm Stay and enter your master code.
  3. The same Exit Delay applies when in this mode.

Note:
  • If you open and shut an Entry/Exit door during the Exit Delay and then re-enter the premises, the Exit Delay restarts. It will only do this one time.
  • If an Entry/Exit door is left open at the end of Exit Delay, the Entry Delay immediately starts and, if the system is not disarmed, an alarm will sound.

Arm Night
  1. The security status of your security system is displayed in the Security Status header. Touch the Security Status header when it is in Disarmed state or select the Security icon.
