Support XFINITY Internet Transfer Files with SmartFTP


Note: Effective October 8, 2015, the Personal Web Page service will no longer be available. Please retrieve all content currently saved on your site before October 8, 2015 to avoid permanently losing your files and information. The ability to activate this feature has been disabled for new customers and customers who have not already activated their Personal Web Page.

Use your Personal Web Pages to easily transfer files from one computer to another.

How to Do It

Enjoy convenient access to your digital files anytime, and anywhere, you have Internet access. Simply use FTP (File Transfer Protocol) to upload files to your Personal Web Pages, and to download files to any computer you like. First, install SmartFTP, a free program, onto your computer. Then follow the steps below.

Step 1

Open SmartFTP.

Step 2

Type in the address field.

Step 3

In the Login and Password fields type your Comcast ID and password. The Port number should be 21.

Step 4

Press the Enter key on your keyboard or click the green Go button.

Step 5

Once connected, SmartFTP displays a split screen. The files on the left are those on your computer. The files on the right are those on your Personal Web Pages.

Step 6

To upload files (transfer from your computer to Comcast's servers), select a file on the left side and then press the blue upload arrow in the middle of the split screen.

Step 7

To download files (from Comcast’s servers to your local computer), select a file on the right side and then press the blue download arrow in the middle of the split screen.
