This article outlines the steps to change the number of telephone rings before a caller is directed to voicemail with the XFINITY Voice service.

Change the Number of Rings Before Voicemail Answers for XFINITY Voice and XFINITY Internet Customers

To change the number of rings before voicemail answers:

  1. Open a web browser and go to http://www.xfinity.com/.
  2. Select the Email icon.
  3. Enter the primary XFINITY username or email address and password.
  4. Click the Preferences tab.
  5. Click the VOICE icon.

  6. Click on Call Forwarding and Rings to expand the section.
  7. Under the Rings section, click the drop-down menu next to Send call to voice mail after field.
    Send calls to voice mail after preferred number of rings drop-down menu.
     
  8. Select the number of rings which needs to be set from the list.


Notes

  • The ring count changes immediately, but in some cases it can take up to 24 hours.

For XFINITY Voice Subscribers with Voice2go Activated:

  1. Go to www.xfinity.com.
  2. Select the Email icon.
  3. Enter your primary XFINITY username or email address and password.
  4. Go to the Preferences tab, then select the Voice icon.
  5. Select Advanced Call Forwarding.
  6. Click on the pencil icon to edit the Ring Count.
  7. Click the drop-down menu next to Rings Before Voicemail.
  8. Select the number of rings you want before the call goes to voicemail.
  9. Click Save to save your changes.
